How to find a partner?

A CAS applicant can identify a Novo Nordisk partner through following ways: 

·         Look for publications co-authored by Novo Nordisk scientists;

·         Contact Dr. Boerge Diderichsen (BQD@novonordisk.com) or Dr. WANG Baoping (baop@novonordisk.com) with a request to find a suitable Novo Nordisk partner for a project of interest to CAS (at least 15 days before the submission deadline);

A Novo Nordisk applicant can identify a CAS partner through following ways:

·         Visit CAS website for biosciences and related research institutes or university and find a suitable partner;

·         Look for publications co-authored by CAS scientists;

·         Contact Prof. WANG Mingwei (mwwang@simm.ac.cn) or Ms. GONG Haihua, Bureau of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hhgong@cashq.ac.cn) with a request to find a suitable CAS partner for a project of interest to Novo Nordisk (at least 15 days before the submission deadline).

Funding

Reference is made to the individual program description.

How will the application be processed and evaluated?

Applications must be prepared on a special Application Form. The application will be evaluated by NN-CAS Research Fund Board by following criteria:

·         Scientific merit;

·         Relevance to the project categories;

·         Feasibility (including but not limited to the applicant’s competency in the proposed field, additional funding from other sources to carry out the study).

When the decision will be made and announced?

The decision will be made in 3 months from the application deadline, or specified in the individual program description. The decision will be sent to each applicant by e-mail.  The names of recipients of projects selected for funding and project titles (names of compounds may be masked for confidentiality reasons) will be announced at the NN-CAS Research Fund website. The recipients will receive a grant award letter as well as instructions about administration of the grant.
