Position 1: Diabetes Research Director/Manager
Responsibilities:
- Managing a research team to support discovery and development of new peptides and proteins for the treatment of diabetes.
- Scouting and sourcing in relation to diabetes innovations in China
- Together with the colleagues in Denmark to identify and manage diabetes research collaborations in China
- Establishment and maintenance of networks in diabetes research in China.
- Internal and external communications on Novo Nordisk Diabetes Research in China.
Optimal Qualifications:
- A MD and or PhD in science or medicine with >5 years post doctorate research.
- A proven record of independent high-quality research in diabetes
- International research experience
- Well connected to diabetes and other relevant networks internationally and in China
- Experience with protein technologies
- Experience with people and project management
- Experience with or understanding of industrial and clinical research
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Excellent communication skills
- Dedicated, effective and friendly personality

Position 2: Diabetes Scientist/Senior Scientist
Responsibilities:
Purify and characterize various proteins at laboratory to pilot scale to support therapeutic protein drug R&D, and be involved in discovery of new or improved proteins for diabetes care.
Qualifications:
- A MD and or PhD in science or medicine with >2 years post doctorate research.
- A good track record of independent high-quality research in diabetes
- Thorough understanding and solid hands-on experience with at least one of the following: protein engineering, expression, refolding, purification, characterization and assay development.
- Industrial research experience is advantaged
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Flexibility and the desire to work within a multidisciplinary team

Position 3: Fermentation Scientist/Senior Scientist
Responsibility:
Plan and execute laboratory- and mini-pilot-scale E coli cultivations to support the development of Novo Nordisk biologics pipeline. In this role you are expected to design experimental programs, develop cultivation protocols as well as oversee the execution.
Requirements:
- PhD in Biochemical/chemical Engineering.
- A good track record of research in the field of fermentation or bioprocess development.
- In-depth knowledge of microbial physiology and metabolism, fermentation technology and recovery processes.
- Competent with basic analytical tools/laboratory automation – HPLC, microscopy, plate readers, automated liquid handling, high throughput micro culture systems and fermentor automation and control.
- Industrial working experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment, and knowledge of statistical data analysis methodologies, are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, flexibility and the desire to work within a multidisciplinary team are required.

Position 4: Senior Scientist in Molecular Biology
Responsibilities:
Apply research expertise to contribute novel drug discovery for inflammatory disorders. This involves identification, evaluation and validation of new targets as well as optimization of drug candidates aiming at rapid transfer of high-quality anti-inflammatory proteins from research into the preclinical pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry or a relevant biological science with >3 years post-doctoral experience
- A good track record of research in the field of molecular immunology and inflammation
- A thorough understanding and solid hands-on experience with recombinant protein expression systems, protein characterization and assay development
- Experience with mAb engineering is a plus
- Industrial experience is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, flexibility and the desire to work within a multidisciplinary team are required

Position 5: Scientist/Senior Scientist in Protein Chemistry
Responsibilities:
Purify and characterize various proteins at laboratory to pilot scale to support therapeutic protein drug R&D, and actively involved broadly in discovery of new or improved therapeutic proteins or antibodies against inflammatory diseases.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in biochemistry or other life sciences with 2-5 years post doctorate research.
- A good track record of research in the fields of biochemistry, immunology, and inflammation
- A thorough understanding and solid hands-on experience on protein engineering, expression, refolding, purification, characterization and assay development
- Working experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment. Knowledge of protein drug development would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English, flexibility and the desire to work within a multidisciplinary team are also required

Position 6: Scientist/Senior Scientist in Cell Biology
Responsibilities:
Using cell biology and immunology expertise to actively participate in and contribute to the novel drug R&D for the treatment of inflammatory disorders.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or relevant biological science
- A solid theoretical background and a good track record in various areas mentioned above
- Excellent oral and writing skills in English
- >2 years of postdoctoral experience is preferred
- Experience in immunology and/or inflammatory disease research is preferred
- Industrial experience is a plus
- Experience with monoclonal antibody technology is a plus
- Easy-going, hard-working, and collaborative
